The International Centre for Montessori Education
(ICME) was established to promote the Montessori Method internationally and
to make it possible for teachers in early years day-care,
Kindergarten and school programmes to benefit from this approach.
Our aim is to provide our students with the knowledge, skills and practical
experience needed to apply Montessori 's ideas and teaching methods when caring
for children in the home or working with them in an early childhood setting.
